Work

Anticipating a disaster and acting in accordance to accrued information is fundamental in averting said disaster.

The objective of fighting a forest fire is the prevention of damage to people, property and assets. In addition it significantly contributes to environmental protection. Fundamentally, the protection and safety of the operational fire fighting force is of prime importance. Necessary firefighting measures, which could put the rescue personnel in danger, should be limited as much as possible. As such we at JINTEC SYSTEMS LTD. look to take proactive approaches in preventing problems from evolving into disasters, thus limiting loss of life and assets.

Smoke Forecast

This smoke forecast is considered experimental because it is produced by a system that is an ongoing research project and subject to uncertainties in weather forecasts, smoke dispersion and fire emissions. For example, the system uses satellite detections to locate fires. If there is cloud cover or smoke that obscures the detection of fires from space, the resulting smoke from these fires will not be accounted for in the forecast.
